Here are a few pictures from this morning. The White Swan hotel is very beautiful and the nicest hotel we have stayed in by far. The breakfast buffet this morning was very good. There were 7 or 8 different kinds of fresh fruit -- much better than just watermelon at the Mandarin Garden. The dinner last night was fabulous too. Our guide, Elsie, took us to a Cantonese restaurant (the others in our group weren't excited about Thai). She helped us order some vegetarian dishes for me and some non-spicy dishes for the rest of the group. We had some sweet and sour chicken, stir fried noodles with carrots, vegetable dish (with bamboo?), fried rice with egg and pumpkin with some sort of beans in a coconut sauce. It was all very good and we polished off most every dish. It was by far the best meal I've had so far in China.
So, this morning we will go up to Elsie's room to drop off some paperwork. Then I'll be off to drop off our laundry and go shopping! Xin Yi should nap this afternoon and hopefully another group dinner tonight. I think I'm going to like the leisurely pace of this portion of the trip. Bye for now!
