1st Communion
Collin's first communion was yesterday. He did so great. I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast. Doesn't he look like such a little man?

Sickness!
Is there a pill to take for a Disney addiction? Yes, that is correct -- we are heading to Disney again. We will be changing it up somewhat and going to Disneyland instead of Disney World. We were alternating them for a while, but we fell into a Disney World rut the last few trips. So, in a couple of weeks we are off to sunny California! We will spend a couple of nights in San Diego and I splurged and put us in a hotel that is right on the beach. We'll visit Sea World and the San Diego zoo while we are there. Then we'll head to L.A. and go to Universal Studios, Disneyland, and Six Flags. Can you say over-stimulation!!! I'm sure the kids will have a wonderful time and should sleep well at night! We really did look into other vacations, but with the kids being so young -- Disney always seems to be the perfect fit.
In other news, our house should be up for sale tomorrow. I guess we'll just wait and see what happens. It definitely isn't a good market for selling a house, but it is a great time to buy. We are hoping that it all works out in the end. If not, we now have a clean and fixed up house! There were projects we got done in the last couple months that we've been meaning to do for years. Some of them for 5 or more years! So, for that I am happy.

Not this week either
It turns out we won't have our house listed this week either. Our window in the kitchen has been leaking for a while and we wanted to get that fixed before we listed our house. The contractor thought they had it fixed a few times now, but with all the rain we just received it started leaking again. Ugh! This is a major setback. It will take some time now to try to figure out where it is coming in (Victor and I are getting involved at this point) and then to fix it and verify it is truly fixed. I figure it will be another week and possibly two or three before it is done. The good news is that the parade of homes is the 1st three weekends in May. I'm pretty sure we can get the house on by then and there should be extra traffic with people visiting some of the new houses near us. Let's hope anyway!
The good news is the window guys did come out today to finish our new windows, so we are truly just waiting on one more thing now. Not much longer now (I've been saying that for two months now!)

Delays
Believe it or not, we still do not have our house on the market. We have had delay after delay with our current contractor. We are waiting for them to come back and replace one window an trim out two other windows. It should take them about an hour to complete this job, but it has been 2 1/2 weeks since we found out they would have to come back and 1 1/2 week since our new window came in. Still no one. They were supposed to come out Saturday and I even called Thursday to confirm, but apparently there was a "miscommunication" and no one showed up. I was so upset Saturday (there was major crying and chocolate eating going on that day). Right now they are saying Wednesday or Thursday. I've rescheduled our realtor to come out Wednesday night. The one thing that is pretty interesting about this whole situation is that my mom's birthday is Thursday. During this whole process I thought something big might happen on her birthday as a sign we should move to Lee's Summit (I was hoping we would sell our house that day). My mother would have been overjoyed at our move. Well, if our realtor comes out Wednesday (and God willing the window contractor as well), our house may be officially for sale on Thursday. That would be pretty exciting. I just need to take all of this in stride, but it has been hard. The last couple of months were pretty tough to get through. It didn't help that winter dragged on longer than usual during the same time we were working so hard on our house. I just hope it all works out in the end.
Tonight we will be watching and cheering on the KU Jayhawks! I was so happy they played well and won on Saturday. That was really the only thing that went well that day. I've been coaching Dylan to say "Rock Chalk Jayhawks! Go KU!" Everything sounds extra cute when he says it.
I took the kids to Deanna Rose last week and they got to feed the goats and fish. Alana could have spent all afternoon feeding the goats, but the boys got bored and wanted to move on. It was funny to remember how scared she was last summer. It helps that she has fearless brothers and she always wants to do what they are doing. The kids keep talking about going back to Disney and riding roller coasters. We are wanting to wait until Dylan hits 40" so he can ride a few of the bigger roller coasters and rides. He's only 35" right now though (5% for his age), so we may not be able to wait for our pint-sized three year old to grow. Who knows though -- maybe he'll have a major growth spurt this year!
