Ready or Not

I'm almost there! I've been running from store to store to store this week trying to get things together. I mistakenly thought I was almost ready to go and then kept remembering things I needed. Collin was getting frustrated with all the shopping in the afternoons and Victor wasn't too happy that I was out in the evenings too. I just kept telling them that part of my shopping this week was to make sure they wouldn't have to go shopping for the next two weeks.

Well, it is almost midnight and I'm not quite finished packing. I should be done soon though. My flight leaves at 10:30 Thursday morning. Collin has been getting very emotional today and wanting lots and lots of hugs and kisses. I've been surprising calm, but I expect to shed many tears tomorrow. I keep telling him that we will miss each other, but we will both have a lot of fun during the next two weeks too.

I get on a plane in 10 1/2 hours!!! I fly to Minneapolis -- then to Tokyo -- then to Beijing. My flight gets in Friday evening at 9:30 PM (8:30 AM central). Yep -- that's right -- 22 hours of travel time! I will try to post to the blog when I get to my hotel in Beijing (probably by 11 AM central). If I have problems (or am too exhausted), I will have Victor post to let everyone know I arrived safe.
