I'm here! I arrived in Nanjing this afternoon. It was very emotional for me to land here in Alana's home province of Jiangsu. I cried when the plane touched down and have been very emotional all afternoon. I can't believe I'm finally here and I get my little girl tomorrow morning. I will meet our coordinator and the other family in my group in the lobby at 10 AM (9 PM CST) and I should have Alana at 10:30 AM. Our guide said i t will take about 1 hour to complete the guardianship paperwork, so I should be back at the hotel around noon and will try to post pictures soon after. So, sometime after 11 pm CST I should have pictures online.
I've included a few pictures from today. One is of me with Nancy and Sam (the only other family from my travel group adopting from Jiangsu province) on the airplane this afternoon. They have been sooo wonderful. They have a 2 1/2 year old daughter they adopted from China a year and a half ago. They are back adopting a 3 year old little boy with a repaired cleft lip and palate. Alana is only 10 months older than their son, so I hope they will play well together. I also included pictures from my hotel room and the view outside. For some reason you can't see all the taller skyscrapers in the background. I might try to take another picture tomorrow. You can see the sycamore lined street below that is very beautiful. I can't believe I'm in the room that Alana will sleep in with me tomorrow night. I can't believe she will be here! I hope I can sleep tonight! Tomorrow is the BIG DAY!!!
