This place just feels like home to us when we walk through the front gates. This was Collin's 8th (Dylan's 3rd and Alana's 2nd) trip to Disney, but our last 3 trips have been to Disney World. So, it took us a little while to adjust to the different layout. We realized after going to Disney again that this is still the best fit for our family. The kids absolutely loved every minute of it and didn't want to leave after the 3rd day. They had fun at all the other places on our trip, but nothing is as perfect as Disney. Disneyland is great, but Disney World is Disneyland to the next level. We loved our hotel room which had one king bed, a set of bunk beds, and a pull out couch. However, the people above us seemed to never leave their room the entire time we stayed there. It sounded like elephants bowling up there. So, sleeping at night and napping during the afternoon were difficult. We will probably head back to Disney World next where we can rent a 3 or 4 bedroom townhouse for hundreds less than what we payed for in hotel rooms on this trip. They give us a lot more space and some peace and quiet.
Anyway, the kids loved all the rides and the characters with one exception. Alana still doesn't like the Tower of Terror ride. She was pretty upset last year after riding it, but really wanted to give it another shot this year. She wasn't nearly so upset, but she told us she wants to wait a long time before riding it again (maybe next year?). I bought the kids some Mickey Mouse ears this year for the first time. They all got their names stitched on the back and looked so cute. The boys got tired of them pretty quickly though, but Alana wore hers the whole time. Collin loved the Jedi Training show and we brought his costume along so he could wear it while he participated. He got to go up on stage with a bunch of other kids and even got to fight Darth Maul. I only took video of most of it and I'm kicking myself that I didn't get a still picture of him fighting Darth Maul. It was too funny! We read about this show before we went, but kept it all a surprise for Collin. He absolutely loved it! He also really enjoyed the High School Musical 2 show which he and Alana got to participate in. Dylan was so excited to see Handy Manny in the Playhouse Disney Live Onstage show! All in all it was a great three days!
