Falling Down
I love my daughter -- truly -- but she is SOOOOOOO busy! Yesterday we went out for lunch with a friend and then out to dinner as a family. She was all over the place at both meals. I'm starting to feel like she is not capable of being still while awake. Her body is in constant motion! She went so far as to fall off of her chair and onto the floor AT BOTH RESTAURANTS! Twice in one day! I just rolled my eyes the first time and we all had a good laugh the second time. I sure hope that she calms down a little with age. I'm already starting to worry what school is going to be like for her next year if she can't get this under control. Collin is already receiving special ed for his attention issues (he can't learn in a classroom with 20+ children). I'm starting to wonder if she will need special ed because she can't sit still in her seat. The school is already pushing me to medicate Collin (we won't do it) and I have this sinking feeling that they are going to say the same thing for Alana. My children can bring such joy, but such frustration too! Especially when you want to give them the world and they can't seem to take advantage of all the opportunities presented to them. I just have to pray that everything works out for them in the end.
