Well, my computer issues seem to be resolved for the moment. I opened up the computer and tried disconnecting the secondary hard drive. It took me a little while to get it right, but eventually it worked. So now my master hard drive is working! You can bet the first thing I did was start archiving pictures to CD. In this process I found out that you can archive pictures and documents to DVD. This is fabulous because a DVD hold 4.7 GB and a CD only holds 800 MB. So, I was able to download all 3000+ pictures to one DVD last night. Learn from my mistake -- backup your data and pictures!!
I may still buy a new hard drive or possibly a new computer soon, but at least I have my pictures. They are PRICELESS!
