Three days in a row

I have to blog about my little man today. We've been working on potty training for a little over a year now. When he started waking up dry in the morning, I started putting him on the potty. If I caught him the act of going #2, I would put him on the potty. I also would put him on the potty before we would leave the house and before bed. He would never tell me when he needed to go, but when I put him on he would oblige. Fast forward to 1-2 months ago. He started refusing to go #2 in the potty which resulted in me changing up to 3 stinky diapers per day. That was rough when I was used to changing only 1 or 2 per week! Lately I've been able to catch him in the act and ask him to tell Mommy "I need to go poopy" and he would oblige and tell me and started going in the potty again. NOW for the really exciting part -- for the last three days in a row he has told me he needs to go poopy and then WENT IN THE POTTY!! I am beyond excited!! My little boy may be very close to being potty trained -- and just before his third birthday! Of course with all the upcoming chaos in our house -- he will likely regress, but I'm happy all the same! Collin was almost four before he was potty trained and we still had lots of issues until he was 7 or so. I'm praying Dylan is easier in this regard!

Also, we are trucking along on getting our house ready to list. We've had contractors out doing repairs, hanging sheet rock and replacing flooring. We have also been stripping wallpaper, painting, changing out light fixtures, changing cabinet hardware, cleaning, selling things we don't need and generally sprucing up the place. It is a lot of work, but it will be worth it even if we don't move. It has been rather stressful for everyone though. I'm stressed and trying to get all this stuff done around the house. Which means the kids aren't getting as much of my time as they are used to. Which results in bad behavior to receive negative attention. Which results in me being even more stressed out! I just keep telling myself it will be worth it to be closer to family and friends!! Plus, we are looking at houses with lots more conveniences than we have now (although we'll be giving up our acre lot and private pool).
Here is a picture of my Dylan helping me take down some wallpaper. I can use all the help I can get!!
