Rough Week

Wow! We have had one whopper of a week. I try to keep this blog positive and won't go into the details, but it has been a very difficult week for us. We found out yesterday that Collin has an ear infection and he started antibiotics last night. I am hoping that was a big part of his issues and that he starts acting better. I think because of Collin's problems I've had much less patience for the other kids.

I'm also starting to stress about our upcoming road trip. Twelve hours one way in the car is going to be a LONG, LONG time. It is still a month away, but I'm already buying new toys and movies to give to the kids on the trip. I'll also pack plenty of snacks, music and hopefully some craft activities. I also need to map all the Burger King and McDonald's with playplaces, so we can take frequent breaks and let the kids get their energy out.

I've also been having a hard time this past week with Alana's food issues. I'm not sure if I can do anything to help or of if I should just wait it out. I'm also not sure if her obsession is getting worse lately or if I'm just more sensitive to it. If she sees food -- and especially candy -- she is OBSESSED! Chocoluck, Chocoluck, I lika Chocoluck!!! On and on. It was kind of funny at first, but is quickly becoming disturbing. She hasn't started hoarding food yet, but I feel it coming. I'm going to keep an eye on it for now, but we may need to do some research or get some help if it doesn't get better.
